With the leadership and coordination by Supporting Community Development Initiatives (SCDI), Vietnam Community Consultation in preparation of RAI3 Funding request was held in Hanoi, Vietnam on 13 January 2020. National Institute of Malariology, Parasitology and Entomology (NIMPE), Institute of Malariology, Parasitology and Entomology (IMPE), World Health Organization (WHO), Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCM), Vietnam RAI and non-RAI CSO partners, The Global Fund representative, RAI RSC secretariat, Regional consultant for RAI3 Funding request, UNOPS PR, RAI RSC CSO representative, CSO platform secretariat, Thailand CSO representative, Vysnova representative and volunteers at the community level which represent different provinces participated in the community consultation. The main objectives of the consultation include:
- To collect suggestions from community representatives and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for the Global Fund RAI 3 Funding request 2021-2023 based on the recommendations from previous consultations
- To discuss representation from the CSOs/Community to participate and share outcomes of CSO consultation in RAI3 country dialogue
During the consultation, the CSO partners and community representatives discussed the target areas, populations, key interventions, community system strengthening, which aims disease integration, surveillance at the community level, gender issues, and livelihood activity for RAI3 country dialogue with the guidance of global fund, regional consultant, RAI RSC CSO representative, and UNOPS PR. The outcome of the community consultation will be shared in country dialogue on 14 January 2020.
